This story has been in my mind for a long time. It seems like with every ZD30 Challenge, at least a handful of writers express this same sentiment: The Challenge encouraged them to finish a draft of a story they had rattling around in the minds for years, even decades. Some may never have attempted to write it. Others had started to write the story a bunch of times, but never got to The End.
But Colleen and others like her embraced Productivity over Procrastination and Perfectionism…
And made it to FADE OUT.
I can’t believe I finally did it.
You did, Colleen. You did. Since Colleen has already received a Trumbo Award this time around, I’m going to dedicate today’s award — the last one for the 2017 September Challenge — to everyone like her who finally finished a writing project they perhaps thought they never would, writers who leapt aboard Spaceship Zero Draft, blasted off, and rode it all the way to The End!
