Check out my podcast conversation advocating for a sequel for one of my favorite action comedies: The Nice Guys.

There’s a cool podcast called Why Is This Not a Movie? Mike Vago is its host, so when he reached out to me, I agreed to appear to advocate for one of my favorite action comedies: The Nice Guys, written and directed by Shane Black.

The movie had a reported production budget of $50M. With worldwide box office returns of $71M, it may end up breaking even, but it’s unlikely. And yet, it’s a fantastic film. I mean a really, really good movie.

Here is the podcast conversation about The Nice Guys and a whole lot more including the WGA strike, the fate of action-comedy movies, so-called Artificial Intelligence, and maybe studio CEOs aren’t so smart.

Here’s a nice photo of Shane Black.
