Victoria, the thing is, as the article indicates, a writer can convey the experience of this or that camera shot, almost any of them, w/o using directing jargon. Simply describe what the audience is seeing. Or perhaps better, how *you* see the audience seeing it. If it's a close-up, your scene description should have a close proximity to the character. If it's a long shot, a distant proximity.
