The 2024 Zero Draft Thirty September Challenge is over!

Time to start prepping for the next one in March 2025!

Back in November 2015, I posted this: Who’s with me to pound out a script in 30 days? A bunch of people joined up and thus began the Zero Draft Thirty Challenge.

I just wrapped up hosting the 19th Challenge. Since this is a biannual event, the next one is scheduled for March 2025.

Why not join our private Zero Draft Thirty Facebook group?

Finally, you don’t need to wait until next March to pound out a script in 30 days. You can set your own personal challenge any month. Just make some sort of public proclamation you’re taking on this challenge. That way, you’ve got skin in the game. Mark your daily progress on a calendar. Stick to it until the end of the month.

It’s a zero draft. The pressure’s off because you know it’s not going to be perfect, it’s going to need a rewrite.

That’s the beauty of the zero draft approach. It’s not a sprint. It’s a scamper.
