Thanks, Sharon. As I note in my prefatory comments, theology provides a narrative to explain reality. Stories do the same thing. They both deal with the breadth and depth of the human experience, so they will obviously cover similar subject matter. I just find it fascinating, looking at movies through a theological ‘lens,’ to see how frequently even purely secular stories traffic in themes which are present in theological circles.
