Good work, Laura!

Thanks, Laura, solid analysis. As you note, there’s an interesting dynamic in which Woody, whose goal is to get Forky back to Bonnie because they belong together, discovers that he (Woody) has the courage to be free with Bo Peep and the other ‘lost’ toys. So per your analysis, in rescuing Forky, Woody ‘rescues’ himself. Continuing the theme of maturation which you can track in the trilogy, how Woody grows up, this is the next step where he feels like he doesn’t need to be somebody else’s toy. In a way, his life is just beginning as he has left the next.

Good work, Laura!
