Thanks for that, Joseph, good stuff re the story’s structure. You’re so right about how after Arthur’s monologue, the car bombing incident sets a hook for the rest of the story. As you say: What’s THAT about?!?! What the hell has this guy done to deserve THAT?!?! It creates a question which plays under EVERYTHING else that happens.
