Sony acquires comedy spec script “This Could Be Our Night” written by Justin Shipley and Jordan Shipley. Via Deadline:

The project is billed as being in the vein of Superbad and Booksmart.

It was a preemptive sale.

The brother writing duo is repped by WME and Haven Entertainment.

By my count, this is the 13th spec script deal in 2025.

There were 14 spec script deals year-to-date in 2024.
