Spec Script Deal: “The Girl with a Thousand Names”

New Line acquires drama spec script “The Girl with a Thousand Names” written by Issa Lopez. Via Deadline:

Girl with a Thousand Names tells the fantastically real story of a child from another world, trapped in our broken reality… without documents, in a detention center for unaccompanied minors and children separated from their families at the U.S. border.

Lopez will direct and produce the movie for HBO Max.

Lopez is repped by M88 and Rand Holston Management.

By my count, this is the 5th spec script deal of 2022.
