Lionsgate acquires horror spec script “The French Quarter Will Not Be Spared” written by Anthony Jaswinski. From Deadline:

A new take on the vampire genre set in New Orleans during hurricane Katrina. The goal is to make a visceral and socially relevant horror film in the vein of A Quite Place or Get Out.

Jaswinski is repped by Paradigm and Circle of Confusion.

By my count, this is the 39th spec script deal in 2018.
