Spec Script Deal: “The Best Friends”

TriStar Pictures acquires comedy spec script “The Best Friends” written by Chad Kultgen and Amy Rhodes. From Deadline:

Plot details on The Best Friends are being kept under wraps though it is described as a high concept, slightly meta take on romantic comedies.

Kultgen is repped by CAA and MXN. Rhodes is repped by Brillstein Entertainment Partners.

By my count, this is the 37th spec script deal in 2018.

There were 60 spec script deals year-to-date in 2017.
