Spec Script Deal: “Ready or Not”

Fox Searchlight Pictures acquires thriller spec script “Ready or Not” written by Guy Busick and Ryan Murphy. From THR:

The story tells of a bride who, marrying into a wealthy gaming family, sees her wedding night turn deadly when the eccentric new in-laws force her into a bizarre and terrifying game of hide and seek.

The script is described as having been “picked up in competitive bidding”.

The writers are repped by Paradigm.

By my count, this is the 59th spec script deal of 2017.

There were 69 spec script deals year-to-date in 2016.
