Spec Script Deal: “Minnie Buttons”

Huckleberry Media acquires spec script “Minnie Buttons” written by Adam D. Boyer. Via Deadline:

The company has also optioned Adam Boyer’s musical comedy spec Minnie Buttons, a satire that follows a dysfunctional family which accidentally summons a magical, singing nanny but soon learns their new caretaker has dark plans in store.

This is an option deal.

By my count, this is the 15th spec script deal in 2024.

There were 7 spec script deals year-to-date in 2023.

Note: Those numbers were impacted by the WGA strike from May through September 2023 when no spec scripts could be sold.
