Spec Script Deal: “Love of Your Life”

Amazon MGM acquires drama spec script “Love of Your Life” written by Julia Cox. Via Deadline:

The spec is another strong actress vehicle, drawing comparisons to Eat Pray Love. A young woman loses her young husband, and the movie is about her taking a journey so that she can regain her footing and find a reason to carry forward.

There was a bidding war for this project.

Amazon MGM Studios just won a battle for Love of Your Life, a spec by Nyad scribe Julia Cox, Deadline hears. Love of Your Life has been the talk of town this Halloween, and sources said the result is one of the biggest spec script deals in recent memory, landing in the $2 million range.
