Spec Script Deal: “Fresh”

Legendary Pictures acquires social thriller “Fresh” written by Lauryn Kahn. Via Deadline:

“Fresh lives inside the discomfort or fear many women face every day and that’s what drew me to the script,” [Mimi] Cave [director] said. “It is a raucous allegory for the commodification of women’s bodies. I want to create a visceral experience that takes the audience on a ride through a twisted world — where a woman’s instincts come into play at every turn.”

By my count, this is the 11th spec script deal in 2020.
