Since I’ve already put a spotlight on my favorite dialogue in the script (see Themes response), I’m…

The only thing I do know is that we have to be kind. Please, be kind. Especially when we don't know what's going on.

Since I’ve already put a spotlight on my favorite dialogue in the script (see Themes response), I’m going to select this from Wamond:

The only thing I do know is that we have to be kind. Please, be kind. Especially when we don't know what's going on.

This resonates with me. I can’t explain why the world is the way it is. Why do good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people. Why so much hatred toward others? Why bigotry? Why misogony?

When I’m stretched so far in trying to make sense of it all, I go back to Wamond’s admonition: Be kind.

To me, that is a critical sign of one’s humanity.

It doesn’t translate into money. I can’t pass it along as a legacy. But in the here and now, how I treat others with kindness …

That is something that makes sense to me … and is well within my power to accomplish.
