There is the perspective that it takes seven screenplays before you learn how to write a script. Ten thousand pages is really true. It’s a pile of scripts and how high is your pile? Is your pile six inches? Is your pile a foot? Is your pile a foot‑and‑a‑half? Meaning that you’ve got to dig in, and you’ve got to write a lot of scripts, and keep learning. The learning never ends.”
