Picket Astrology: What’s Your Sign?

Striking members of the WGA explain their picket signs.

Screenwriters and television writers are hired in large part due to their creativity. Thus, it’s not surprising when striking WGA members populate the picket line, we’d see that creativity in their signs.

Here’s a video from the WGA West YouTube channel featuring a handful of writers and their picket signs.

Here is one writer explaining the inspiration behind their sign:

“I made this sign because the studios will do anything with their money, they’ll spend it on anything except for writers. Rebranding HBO Max. Rebranding CBS All Access. Rebranding literally anything. Buy another yacht. Pay an exec another 100 million dollars. But they will not spend it on the writers who create the only product they sell.”
