The movie version of the opening:
The opening in the spirit and structure of the script. Some additional dialogue, but the point of the scene is the same: The horrible revelation by Vick to Tracy… and the mystery established with the trashed car in the background and Vick’s split lip.
When I first read about The Hangover getting set up, I just shook my head. What a great concept. I mean, it’s similar to Dude, Where’s My Car, but the stakes are so much higher: a missing groom.
