The Florida Project was my favorite movie of 2017. The story explores the subculture of the nearly homeless putting a human face on individuals and families living on the fringes of society. Given the subject matter, it is also a beautiful film to watch as this video depicts:

We were fortunate to host a screening of the movie for our DePaul University film school students followed by an interview with writer-director Sean Baker. Here is that interview:
