Those “various view of things” was John Hughes’ way of writing a placeholder so his crew could shoot a bunch of B-roll footage for Hughes and his editor to stitch together the images to go with Brian’s voice-over narration. It IS interesting to note that he DOES specify “Bender’s locker.” He KNOW he wanted to include that and, indeed, ends the visual montage with that image.
