Interesting to note his opponent is not a Black Fighter, but a white guy. I wonder if they made that change to save the Black-White dynamic for Rocky’s fight with Apollo Creed.

Sylvester Stallone was nominated for a Best Screenplay Academy Award. The movie wont three Oscars including Best Picture.
