Per convention, writers are not supposed to include credit sequences in screenplays. Of course, writes DO it sometimes, literally calling it a CREDIT SEQUENCE. However, there’s no reason you can’t craft an opening that feels like a credit sequence, just like Gary Ross did with Page One of his script for the movie Dave.
Page One is a daily Go Into The Story series featuring the first page of notable movie scripts from the classic era to contemporary times. Comparing them is an excellent way to study a variety of writing styles and see how professional writers start a story.
