Two things. First, the trailer narrator also did the trailers for K-9. Second, there was an incredible brouhaha about this movie, basically a war between writer-director Terry Gilliam and Sidney Sheinberg, who oversaw Universal Pictures which owned the rights to the movie. Fascinating story which you can read in this 1985 Los Angeles Times article.
