The movie version of the opening:

There is about a two-minute voice-over narration of Iran’s history, focusing on its political past and the United States government intervention in overthrowing a democratically elected leader, the installing a leader favorable to American interests. The transition into the scene above uses the same visual as the script: a burning U.S. flag.
