Kimshuk, you beat me to the proverbial punch as those were two I was going to highlight. The first side really puts a spotlight on the core cultural divide between East and West, and gives voice to both perspectives Billi is stewing over, trying to find the right one in the situation with her grandmother.
The second side and its reference to “an open mind” plays into the central tension of the story which is Billi having to open her mind to the Eastern mindset.
