This week in the 11th season of the series, a conversation with Brenda Chapman whose writing credits include the animated movies The Lion King, The Prince of Egypt, and Brave.

This is true for every writer with every story. Ask yourself: What is my emotional connection to this story? Why am I compelled to write it?
