From the WGA West:

A special, one-on-one virtual “writer salon” with screenwriter-director-producer and 2022 Writers Guild Award Original Screenplay winner Adam McKay, who discusses structure and story techniques of such acclaimed films as Don’t Look Up, Vice, The Big Short, and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, and series such as Succession, as well as his creative process, career and more. Moderated by John Alan Simon (Radio Free Albemuth) and presented by Writers Guild of America West’s Genre Committee. Recorded on March 8, 2022.

McKay had a string of projects with Will Ferrell including Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, Step Brothers, and The Campaign, but the last few years, he has turned toward more serious subject matter, albeit with a satirical bent. This includes the HBO TV series Succession on which McKay is an executive producer.
