A conversation with the screenwriter of The Holdovers.

David Hemingson is known as a television writer with such series as Just Shoot Me, Kitchen Confidential, American Dad, and Blackish). He has written two TV movies, but to my knowledge, The Holdovers is his first feature film writing credit. And what a credit it is!

Plot summary: A cranky history teacher at a remote prep school is forced to remain on campus over the holidays with a troubled student who has no place to go.
