This week, I just discovered a wonderful new online resource: Behind the Curtain, a YouTube channel featuring interviews with screenwriters and filmmakers.

Behind the Curtain crafts educational video essays using the most valuable insights from professionals in the industry. Take a look into the creative processes of the Coen Brothers, Quentin Tarantino, the creators of The Office, and many more!
My name is Nehemiah T. Jordan. I’m a screenwriter living in LA. Instead of listening to me lecture about filmmaking, my goal for this channel is to provide you “video essay” style content with wisdom from the filmmakers themselves! I scour the internet researching each video, then create an original narrative explaining to you in a bite-size format how your favorite films and TV shows were created. This takes a lot of time and effort to create, but the result is beneficial for aspiring screenwriters and film lovers alike.
Thanks for watching! I’ll be releasing new videos every week. Let me know in the comments what filmmakers I should focus on next.

Here is Damien Chazelle providing insights into the writing and making of the fantastic movie Whiplash.

Since Day 1 at Go Into The Story, I have featured and aggregated interviews with writers, screenwriters, and filmmakers. Why? Because I believe you can learn more from these primary sources than any how to book. Listen to professional writers. They have boots-on-ground experience working in Hollywood and other filmmaking communities.

That’s why my blog has links to nearly 1,000 interviews. Behind the Curtain looks to be a fantastic resource for anyone learning the craft. You can find their YouTube website here.
