Hosts Tasha Huo and Josh Hallman talk with screenwriter Alex Convery about being on the Black List multiple times, the influence that has had on his career, and about the story of how his most recent Black List script, AIR JORDAN, got Ben Affleck attached to direct and co-star with Matt Damon.

If my memory is correct, Alex has made the annual Black List twice: 2020 (Excelsior) and 2021 (Air Jordan). Both are based on real-life characters. I don’t think there’s an official term for this type of story, but I would call contemporary historical adaptation.
