I have to admit, when I first heard the premise at Sundance 2020, I was like, "Hasn't this been done before multiple times?" But having seen the movie and read the script, it's really a strong film.

Nyles to me brings up the term "nihilism" and I wonder if that was intentional on the part of the screenwriter.
