Hummingbirdheart8: Agreed. While I don’t believe there are any screenwriting ‘rules,’ there are conventions, even expectations. I would not recommend anyone follow Field’s approach to style and format.

That is the path of least resistance when it comes to Hollywood’s threshold guardians: script readers.

Glad you appreciate the Page One series. It’s actually a fair amount of work, but I enjoy all the contrasts in style. Daily proof of my first point: There are no screenwriting rules.
