My interview with 2022 Black List writer for his script Jerry!

Part 1: “You can go to USC, UCLA, all the fancy ass schools, but if you don’t devote yourself to your craft outside of school, your script ain’t going to be worth much.”

Part 2: “The first memory I have of Jerry Springer is the mystique. Like, ‘Oh, this show is taboo. I shouldn’t be watching it.’”

Part 5: “For me, the guys I want my character to sound like land somewhere between a David Mamet character and a George Carlin rant.”

Part 6: “I don’t abandon that free‑associative process where I can think out loud and vomit all the words. Then later at night, I’ll spend an hour editing.”
