The Daily Dialogue theme for next week: Teen Talk.

“I’m vacating this switchlized adolescent display of hedenistic amorality.” (Trojan War)

When my movie Trojan War was in pre-production, Warner Bros. brought in a 17 year-old high school student to do a dialogue polish on our script.

You read that right: A high school student.

Why? To do a ‘teen talk’ pass to help the movie pass the smell test of authenticity among the target audience.

So this week, we focus on Teen Talk. Your suggestions wanted!

What to do:

  • Copy/paste dialogue from IMDb Quotes or some other transcript source.
  • Copy/paste the URL of an accompanying video from YouTube or some other video source.
  • Any trivia about the movie which you think would be of interest to readers, we always welcome that.

I’d also ask you to think about why the dialogue is notable. Is there anything about the dialogue which provides some takeaway related to the craft of writing? If so, feel free to share your Dialogue On Dialogue.

Consecutive days of Daily Dialogue posts: 3,579.
