“What you were listening to is some kind of creative, almost X-rated radio here from Eric Swan on QSKY-FM. What I did was mix together a new sounds effects record. The sounds of love and intertwined it with some folk music from France. And now back to something a little more traditional.”

FM (1978), written by Ezra Sacks

The Daily Dialogue theme for the week: Radio.

Trivia: QSKY’s FM Frequency is listed in the movie as 108.1. That is impossible in the US as the FCC (1934) set FM’s frequency range from 87.8 to 108.0Mhz. That said, all FM broadcast stations end with an odd number beginning with 87.9Mhz and ending in 107.9Mhz, and are all in increments of .2Mhz.

Dialogue On Dialogue: Back in the day, FM stations were often disruptors to the status quo of AM. Also wild party scenes.
