“Put that thing back where it came from, so help me, so help me, so help me, goodbye. Put that thing back where it came from, so help me, so help me, I just gotta cry.”

Monsters, Inc. (2001), screenplay by Andrew Stanton & Daniel Gerson, story by Pete Docter & Jill Culton & Jeff Pidgeon & Ralph Eggleston

The Daily Dialogue theme for the week: Celebration.

Trivia: In early drafts, the character of Boo was written to be six years old. The writers decided to make Boo younger because it would make her more dependent on Sulley.

Dialogue On Dialogue: Mike’s musical is a celebration for the monsters after order is restored in Monstropolis. It’s also a payoff from an earlier setup.
