“Shave and a hot bath.”
“Shave and a hot bath.”
— High Plains Drifter (1973), written by Ernest Tidyman
The Daily Dialogue theme for the week: Barber Shop.
Trivia: During an interview on Inside the Actors Studio (1994), Clint Eastwood commented that earlier versions of the script made The Stranger was the dead marshal’s brother. He favored a less explicit and more supernatural interpretation and excised the reference. Therefore, the dubbed voice overs in Italy, Spain, France and Germany retain it.
Dialogue On Dialogue: The dialogue should read: “Shave, a hot bath, and a shootout.”
