“What have I done?”
“What have I done?”
— The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957), screenplay by Carl Foreman and Michael Wilson, novel by Pierre Boulle
The Daily Dialogue theme for the week: Military.
Trivia: The script was written by two blacklisted screenwriters.
Dialogue On Dialogue: The transition in Colonel Nicholson (Alec Guinness) is remarkable in this scene as he realizes he has to give up his grand obsession — the bridge — as it is his military duty. Such an incredible scene.
