“Now all the images of horror, the demons of your mind crowd in on you to destroy you.”
— The Blob (1958), screenplay by Theodore Simonson and Kay Linaker, original idea by Irvine H. Millgate
The Daily Dialogue theme for the week: Movie Theater.
Trivia: The strange movie being shown in the theater was not a phony created for this film. It was an actual movie originally released as Dementia (1955). The scenes shown are from the re-cut version titled “Daughter of Horror”, which had narration added. The voice doing the narration is that of Ed McMahon.
Dialogue On Dialogue: The featured dialogue today is voice-over narration for the film showing in the movie theater. Turns out death in movie theaters is a thing, featured in Inglourious Basterds, Scream 2, and The Blob, both original and remake.
