“Broke into the wrong God damn rec room, didn’t you, you bastard!”

Tremors (1990), screenplay by S.S. Wilson & Brent Maddock, story by S.S. Wilson & Brent Maddock & Ron Underwood

The Daily Dialogue theme for the week: Basement.

Trivia: S.S. Wilson said that he got the idea for the film while he was working for the U.S. Navy in the California desert. While resting on a rock, he imagined what it might be like if something underground kept him from getting off the rock.

Dialogue On Dialogue: A shoot-out scene deserves an Out Line, a side of dialogue to cap the action. This scene — humans vs. giant sand worm in a basement — definitely qualifies as a shoot-out. And the last side of dialogue definitely qualifies as an Out Line.
