“Here you go, boys. Good Morning, America.”
“Here you go, boys. Good Morning, America.”
— Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me (1992), screenplay by David Lynch & Robert Engels, based on the television series written by Mark Frost & David Lynch
The Daily Dialogue theme for the week: Coffee.
Trivia: The numerous prominent actors in the film, including Kiefer Sutherland, David Bowie, Harry Dean Stanton and Jürgen Prochnow, played small parts for almost no money because they had all been fans of Twin Peaks (1990) and/or David Lynch’s other work. The same went for Chris Isaak but he had previously collaborated with Lynch when Lynch directed the music video for Isaak’s song “Wicked Game” and popularized the song in his film Wild at Heart (1990).
Dialogue On Dialogue: Carl Rodd (Harry Dean Stanton) refers to coffee as “Good Morning, America.” As FBI agents Stanley (Kiefer Sutherland) and Desmond (Chris Isaak) discover, Rodd’s version is a bit stronger than the coffee Agent Cooper enjoys at the local diner.
