Fat Jack: I’ll go back for the other boat.
Allen: What?!

Fat Jack leaps into the ocean.

Allen: Where you going, Mr. Fat Jack?
Fat Jack (swimming): Back to the dock. It’s only a few miles. I can swim it. I’ll be back with the little boat.

Allen surveys the tiny boat in which he’s sitting.

Allen: The little boat?!

Splash (1984), screenplay by Lowell Ganz & Babaloo Mandel and Bruce Jay Friedman, screen story by Bruce Jay Friedman, story by Brian Grazer

The Daily Dialogue theme for the week: Swimming. Today’s suggestion by @astro_lass.

Trivia: The first film released under Disney’s Touchstone Pictures label, which was created so the studio could release more adult-oriented fare.

Dialogue On Dialogue: Sure, we could feature Madison (Darryl Hannah) swimming, but why not give a shout-out to Fat Jack (Al Chesney)?
