Limo Driver: Uh, sir. I think we just hit a kid.
Marty Wolf: [waving cellphone] I’m on the phone.

Big Fat Liar (2002), screenplay by Dan Schneider, story by Dan Schneider & Brian Robbins

The Daily Dialogue theme for the week: Limousine.

Trivia: The protagonist’s last name is Shepherd as the antagonist’s last name is Wolf. This may be a reference to The Little Boy Who Cried Wolf fairy tale about a young boy who lies to adults about a wolf coming in to attack the sheep and the night the Wolf really did come to harm the sheep, he told the adults, but they didn’t believe him thus relating to Jason Shepherd lying to other characters in his story such as his parents and is not believed at first when he finally is telling the truth.

Dialogue On Dialogue: See if you can guess why this ‘limousine hits boy on bike’ scene had to happen: “After a young boy’s school essay erroneously finds its way into the hands of a Hollywood producer who turns the idea into a hit film, the boy travels to Los Angeles to claim his credit.”
