Trivia: The gunplay in the store was filmed in a certain way due to concerns about an MPAA pushback on violence. The scene is somewhat bloody, but Alex Cox makes sure to film ketchup bottles exploding in the foreground so it’s never clear whether the red stuff on view is blood or ketchup.
Dialogue On Dialogue: The standoff in Repo Man mixes violence and humor in line with the overall tone of the movie.
