Trivia: Jenny Lumet spent about seven weeks writing the script. It was her first to be made into a film, even though it was her fifth screenplay.

Dialogue On Dialogue: “A young woman who has been in and out of rehab for the past ten years, returns home for the weekend for her sister’s wedding.” This moment is so touching. When Rachel opens the door to see her sister Kym and what shape she is in, knowing once again, Kym has fucked up, the response — two simple words — is powerful.
