Carol, agreed. And so much of “the way it’s being told on screen” derives from the narrative voice as exhibited in the script. There’s a tone conveyed through that style which can steer the way the director and filmmaking team approach production.

Re people who express their interest in screenwriting, yet don’t read scripts or watch movies. I don’t get it. It’s an incredibly competitive field where everyone ELSE is consumed with reading/watching content. To NOT do that puts a writer at a massive competitive disadvantage.
