Re “story seeds”: That sounds like something Carl Jung would like. The concept that there is this collective unconscious where archetypes and ideas float around, people dipping into with their ‘own’ ideas, his idea of synchronicity, that there really is no such thing as a coincidence.
I’ve had at least a half-dozen story concepts which someone else did, my fault for not pushing them forward apace, including the mother-in-law from hell (see: Monster-In-Law).
Let me know if it’s okay to use your response in an article. I think your observations deserve a wider audience.
