Ana, you raise a good point. Does inferior story content somehow become more ‘edible’ in smaller chunks aligned to contemporary sensibilities which seems to come from a ‘short attention span’ syndrome.

The content is the important thing. From a pragmatic perspective — dealing with script readers, managers, agents, development execs — we do well to be mindful of how the content looks and plays on the page. But frankly, if someone writes a fantastic story and they chose to write thick blocks of scene description, it should still connect with a reader.
