As for me, I will spend the month rewriting a feature film comedy spec script. I’m spending most of the month working out my revision plan, then heading off for an extended writer’s retreat to knock out this draft.

During the act of writing a story — novel, screenplay, whatever — there are those times when we are beset by doubt.
This is no good … Who am I trying to kid, that I’m a writer … This is a ridiculous exercise because there’s no chance it’ll sell …
On and on it goes, the Voices of Negativity critiquing us … judging us … doing whatever they can to undercut the belief we have in our ability as a writer
In those times, we need to act as if we had faith …
Because if we do that …
Faith will be given to us …
As we write the next word … next sentence … paragraph … page.
